An experienced director has taken over as the head Business Development and IT. For the past 25 years, Torben has worked in healthcare and pharma management with focus on digitalisation, strategy development and execution, as well as project and programme management.
- I'm delighted to welcome Torben Søe Petersen to Amgros. A business as complex as Amgros needs a director with a broad and relevant background from both government agencies and the regions. He's also courageous and curious, which fits in very well with our values, says Flemming Sonne, CEO of Amgros.
Director of Business Development and IT position is a new position at Amgros. It was established as part of our new organisation, which has just come into effect. The new set-up divides our organization into two main areas. One for Supply, with Nina Uldal as the director, and one for Business Development and IT. This means that our new director will be responsible for the IT department, Analysis and Management Support, Strategy and Development, and finally the Quality department.
Torben Søe Petersen has been employed at Region Zealand since 2013: since 2022 as a specialist director. Before joining Region Zealand, he was a head of department at Statens Serum Institut and in the Business Dialogue and Services unit at the National eHealth Authority (the Danish Health Data Authority).
- I'm very much looking forward to contributing to the important social task of supplying medicines to hospitals. It'll be great to get started, but first I'm looking forward to meeting my many new colleagues at Amgros - and greeting the new cooperation partners, who will be an important part of my working life, says Torben Søe Petersen.
Torben Søe Petersen will take up his new position at Amgros on 1 November 2024.
